【Beware of Electronic Fraud】
Scammers’ Tactics Escalating
Beware of Unknown Calls and Phishing Messages
Be cautious of scammers impersonating customer service and fake websites. Do not click on suspicious links or provide bank information.
Four Key Scam Tactics

Fake Transactions & Phishing Attacks

Scammers call directly or send text messages with fabricated information, urging you to contact a phone number or WhatsApp provided by them.

Impersonated Websites & Documents

Scammers create fake websites and 'customer service' pages that closely resemble legitimate ones, with only slight differences, to gain victims’ trust.

Reading Out Personal Information

Scammers recite parts of your personal information to gain trust, such as your HKID number and full name.

Threats of Charges via Fake Websites

They claim you must provide your credit card details, banking passwords, etc., to cancel services or prevent account charges or freezes.
